Cullompton Food & Drink Festival

Cocktail, coffee and tapas demonstrations in the Walronds at 11.30pm, followed up by a demonstration by Bloomberry Juice at 1pm, children’s cookery sessions at the Hayridge and well-known chefs, including Jody Spencer and Bruno Milford-Dummett at the Community Centre demonstrating a variety of different cookery techniques are just a few of the offerings to keep visitors occupied at Cullompton’s third annual Food & Drink Festival on Saturday 14 October.
The Farmers’ Market will be in its usual location in the High Street where their regular producers will be joined by an influx of additional stall holders. On the opposite side of the road the Baptist Church will be open for refreshments plus there is an attention-grabbing craft market in the Town Hall including an interesting photographic exhibition depicting Cullompton’s food and drink background for those interested in the Town’s history.
Lots of food and drink related stalls at the Walronds and cookery demonstrations at the Community Centre will add interest to the event, plus a lunch time stop for a cheese and wine platter at the Community Centre will keep you going through the afternoon.
The Walronds café will be open all day and will concentrate on the drinks with cocktail, gin and coffee demonstrations plus tapas making Cullompton Community Centre will host food and cookery demonstrations and a Cream Tea competition for local cafes and restaurants. Free car parking can be found in St Andrews car park or you can park for £2 for up to 10 hours in Forge Way car park.
