Cullompton Post Office

Neil Parish MP for Tiverton and Honiton “cut the ribbon” today (11 October) at the official opening of Cullompton Post Office at the previous location of 61A Fore Street, Cullompton, EX15 1JY.
The shop has been fully refurbished and it has been re-named The Pillar Box.
The new Postmaster is Sharon Fabry. Together with daughter Jeni Fabry they are running the Post Office and shop which sells cards, stationery, gifts and quality toys and old-fashioned style sweets, newspapers, drinks and snacks. Some range of sweets has their branding of The Pillar Box. They stock good quality wooden toys - mainly pre-school educational toys.
Both Sharon and Jeni are highly experienced at running and working in a wide variety of Post Offices including Ottery St Mary, Dunkerswell, Exeter and Woolbrook. Jeni grew up living above a Post Office as Sharon was the Postmaster for Ottery St Mary.
Neil Parish MP, said: “It is great news to have a Post Office in Cullompton again providing a vital service. The community is very fortunate to have very experienced and knowledgeable new operators. I really want to thank Sharon and Jeni for re-opening the branch and this wonderful-looking shop, which is very conveniently located.”
Post Office services will be provided from two open-plan counters alongside the retail counter. The opening hours are Monday to Saturday: 8.30am – 5.30pm. This provides 54 hours of Post Office service a week.
Sharon Fabry, said: “People are really excited that we have re-opened the Post Office. They are so pleased that they are popping in to say thank you. We have been busy stocking the shop. People like our range of cards, stationery and gifts. The wooden toys are proving popular and people love the old-style sweets. The community is really thrilled with this new shop.”
The branch had been closed temporarily since June 2018 for operational reasons. Now the branch has opened with the same range of Post Office services available as before.

We understand how important a Post Office is to a community to get their cash, send and collect their mail and do their banking. We are confident that this vibrant new-style Post Office at the heart of the local community will meet customer needs. The Post Office is based within a lovely-looking new shop.”
The branch offer customers a wide range of Post Office services, from posting letters and parcels to collecting and returning online shopping items. Customers are able to take advantage of a wide range of banking services including cash withdrawals and balance enquiries for customers of all the main UK banks.
